The article reviews the connection of life-world orientated social work to current educational discourse. It becomes clear that the concept of "everyday education" can build a bridge between the worlds of education and life-world orientated social work. With an "everyday" orientation, schooling can integrate non-formal and informal learning processes, and social work can open up to educational discourses without adopting narrow school-dominated concepts of education.
