Abstract: Trauma Informed Pedagogy is widely seen as a relevant part of social work and associated research. Nevertheless, the contribution from Special Educational Research is still missing. The lack of diagnostic methods can be seen as one of the main reasons for that. In this article, available trauma-diagnostic tests are presented and critically evaluated. It is shown that test-based screening is complementary to the analysis of the current relationship in school. With the use of a case study, it can be worked out that Cumulative and Sequential Trauma are of special interest in school.
