Im Interview wird die aktuell sogenannte "Flüchtlingskrise" in den historischen Kontext von Migrationsprozessen seit dem späten 19. Jahrhundert bis zur Gegenwart gestellt, in ihrer Besonderheit diskutiert und zugleich als Teil konstanter und genereller gesellschaftlicher Integrationsprobleme angesichts von Ungleichheit interpretiert. Dabei wird für das Gelingen wie Misslingen von Integration die dominierende Rolle sozialer Milieus betont, die gegenüber den Möglichkeiten des Bildungssystems und pädagogischer Arbeit eher nachrangig bleiben.

In this interview the current, so-called ´refugee crisis´ is placed in the historical context of migration processes since the late 19th century up until the present day, discussed in its specific status and interpreted as a constant part of general social integration problems in the face of inequality. The dominant role of social milieus for success or failure of integration is stressed and valued as more important than the possibilities of the education system and educational work.
