Beschreibung / Abstract
Abstract: During the time of 40 years of interdisciplinary early childhood intervention, not only the number of children has risen enormously. There were also significant changes in the particularities and disabilities of children, who are supported by early childhood intervention. At the beginning of the early childhood intervention children with distinct disabilities were the majority of the clientele, but today there are mainly children with more complex and diffuse developmental disorders in this field. The article outlines these changes and their possible causes, especially considering the new morbidity. Implications for early childhood intervention are outlined as well as the cultural and social context dependency of particularities and disabilities - not only at the level of activities and participation, but also at the level of the body functions and body structures.
Keywords: new morbidity, vulnerability, psychosocial risks, altered disability-specific characteristics, good accessibility
