Diese anthropologische Studie nimmt die Auswirkungen politischer Auseinandersetzungen und machtpolitischer Verschiebungen auf indigene Ressourcen auf den Philippinen in den Blick. Erhellt wird dabei, wie, ausgehend von den 1970er Jahren bis in die heutige Zeit, unter anderem die Norm von Verwandtschaft und Vorfahrenschaft den Zugriff auf bestimmte Ressourcen bedingen. Dabei werden Charles Tillys theoretische Überlegungen zu sozialen Bewegungen in einen Dialog mit Michel Foucaults Konzeptionen der Gouvernementalität gestellt.
