"Dasein" durch "Diversity"

Eine Reflexion über das populäre Narrativ der Vielfalt in Zeiten von Postmigration, Inklusionsvorhaben und Employability

Mein Beitrag analysiert Expressionen der Postmigrationsgesellschaft BRD über eine qualitative Forschungsmethode. Erfasst wird damit die Bedingungslage vorgebrachter Teilhabeversprechen. Es wird begründet, dass die gebräuchliche Anrufung von "Vielfalt" das Soziale ökonomisiert und rassifiziert. Dies realisiert sich auch über populärkulturelle Artefakte. Kontroverse Erfahrungen und Erwartungen, welche einerseits die Wirksamkeit der in der "Charta der Vielfalt" gesetzten Selbstverpflichtungen hinterfragen oder andererseits diese zu bestärken scheinen, artikulieren sich darin. Anhand eines Musikvideoclips sowie einer Betriebswebsite wird ein die Gesellschaft polarisierendes Diversitätsverständnis offengelegt, das Handlungsbedarf zum Wandel anzeigt. Stichworte: Migration, Vielfalt, Teilhabe, Beschäftigungsfähigkeit, Populärkultur, Wandel In this article, I take a qualitative research approach to analyse expressions of the FRG as a post-migration society. Thus, it addresses the current situation regarding proffered promises of participation. I demonstrate that popular appeals to "diversity" result in a mercantilist and racialist society, which finds expression in the artefacts of popular culture and which is articulated in controversial experiences and expectations that call into question the commitments set out in the "Diversity Charta" whilst seemingly reinforcing them. I analyse a music video and a company website to reveal an approach to diversity that polarises society and signals a need for transformative action.
