Zusammenfassung: Dieser Beitrag nimmt die pointiert formulierte Frage in den Blick, wer die relevante Informationsquelle zur sozialen Partizipation von Jugendlichen bietet. Hierzu wird in einem ersten Schritt eine Begriffsbestimmung von sozialer Partizipation vorgenommen. In einem zweiten Schritt werden für die Partizipation von Jugendlichen bedeutsame soziale Kontexte skizziert, um daraus die entsprechenden Informanten abzuleiten. Die drei abschließend formulierten Überlegungen sollen Anknüpfungspunkte für eine wei-terführende Auseinandersetzung bieten.

Abstract: This article focuses on the somewhat pointed question of who provides the relevant source of information on adolescents´ social participation. First, a definition of social participation is given. Second, important social contexts for the participation of adolescents are outlined in order to derive the relevant informants. Finally, three concluding considerations are intended to provide a starting point for further discussion.
