Descripción / Abstract
Elternschaft stellt ein biografisches Ereignis dar, das zu (neuen) Handlungsanforderungen in der Lebenswelt und Bildungsinteressen führt. Aufgabe der Familienbildung ist es, auf diese Lernbedürfnisse mit entsprechenden Bildungsangeboten zu reagieren. Der Beitrag skizziert zunächst die Familienbildung als Bereich der Erwachsenenbildung. Anschließend wird Family Literacy als Grundbildungsansatz im Kontext von Familie und Elternschaft dargestellt. Beispielhaft wird im Anschluss daran das Lernangebot "Elternwerkstatt zur Finanziellen Grundbildung: Rund um´s Taschengeld" als Praxismodell vorgestellt. Abschließend werden perspektivisch Anforderungen an Angebote der Familienbildung im Grundbildungsbereich diskutiert.

Parenthood represents a biographical period of one´s life that reveals (new) challenges but also specific learning interests. Family education is dedicated to offer appropriate opportunities to tackle the corresponding learning needs of parents. The following paper first describes family education as a part of the German adult education system. In a second step the concept of family literacy as a learning approach in the field of basic adult education is introduced. Next, an example course concept called "Parents-workshop for financial literacy: All about pocket money" is presented. Finally, considerations about how learning provisions within the field of financial literacy and basic education can be adequately targeted are discussed.
