Der Kommentar problematisiert sowohl die Wyneken Edition von Moser/Jürgens als auch den kritischen Kommentar von Niemeyer. Die Edition, so die Kritik, erfüllt nicht die Erwartungen, die man heute an eine Edition haben darf, und der begleitende "Kommentar" ist als Kommentar unzureichend und als Interpretation des Textes einseitig und theoretisch wie methodisch unausgewiesen. Niemeyers Kritik wiederum - im Anlass verständlich - überhöht die Probleme, dramatisiert die Signifikanz der Edition für die Erziehungswissenschaft und suggeriert Kontextbedingungen, die nicht belegt sind, der Versuch einer Ehrenrettung Wynekens schließlich wird nicht hinreichend begründet.
The author looks critically at both the new Wyneken edition by Moser and Jürgens and at Christian Niemeyer´s criticism of it. The edition, he says, does not live up to the expectations that may fairly be placed in it and the accompanying commentary is inadequate and as an interpretation of the text one-sided and theoretically and methodically deficient. But Niemeyer´s critique, understandably perhaps, exaggerates the problems, over-dramatizes the significance of the edition for social pedagogy and suggests implausible contextualizations. His attempt to rescue Wyneken´s reputation, finally, is unsuccessful.
