Description / Abstract
Zusammenfassung: Das Paradigma der Transkulturalität, das in engem Bezug zum postkolonialen Diskurs steht bzw. aus diesem hervorgegangen ist, wird erläutert und sein handlungsleitendes Potenzial aufgezeigt. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Implikationen sich infolge der neu gewonnenen Perspektive für die Kinder- und Jugend-psychiatrie und Psychotherapie ergeben. Transkulturalität betrifft nicht nur die gesellschaft-liche Makroebene: Die heutigen Jugendlichen, deren Identitätsfindung sich maßgeblich auch über die Auseinandersetzung mit transnationalen Jugendbewegungen und nicht selten inner-halb transethnischer Milieus vollzieht, sind zunehmend in sich transkulturell (Mikroebene). Die sich daraus ergebenen praktischen Konsequenzen werden diskutiert.

Abstract: The concept of transculturality, which is based on postcolonial discourse, is elucidated. Furthermore, the implications for child and adolescent psychiatry are exemplified. As a consequence of multiple transnational interconnections, transculturality has already become reality in society´s everyday life. Today´s adolescents appear more and more intrinsically transcultural due to the fact that their seeking of identity is determined by their positioning towards cross-cultural movements and by being situated within transethnical contexts. The effects on children´s and adolescents´ care and future tasks are outlined.
