Description / Abstract
Planned innovations often have difficulties to find their way into the addressed actors´ practices as a result of conflicts of interest or incompatible worldviews. This paper addresses this fundamental problem of innovation processes by drafting a research strategy that triangulates perspectives and methods from both discourse analysis and cognitive science. The proposed approach aims at broadening knowledge emerging from discourse analysis by systematically integrating coherence-theoretical perspectives.
Keywords: social innovation, discourse research, cognitive science, triangulation, attitudes, emotions
