Description / Abstract

Abstract: International knowledge of method construction in inclusive sports settings has received little attention in German-speaking sports education. Against this background this article provides an overview of the manifold empirically based international knowledge set and pool of experience for the instruction of motor skills to facilitate critical discussion of possible links to the national discourse. Insofar as it makes evident the very diverse research traditions and perspectives, the (inter-)national view also underlines the need for further research on teaching methods in inclusive sports settings. Keywords: inclusion, physical education, teaching practices, universal design, response-to-intervention, evidence-based practice
