Description / Abstract

acquired brain injury, there is an increasing need for interdisciplinary teamwork. Patients with acquired brain injuries represent, in terms of rehabilitation, versatile challenges for all professions who are involved in this process. For the rehabilitative care of people with acquired brain injury a change from a deficit-oriented towards a resource-based focus on the rehabilitation process is necessary. In addition to the characteristics of the person, environmental factors also have a significant influence on their recovery. To enable people with acquired brain injury to remain in their previous habitat, contemporary concepts in the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and care structures must be developed.
