Description / Abstract
Mit dem Ziel ein gemeinsames europäisches Lagebild (ESP) über die Situation an den Außengrenzen der Europäischen Union (EU) zu erstellen, werden seit Dezember 2013 unterschiedlichste Daten zwischen EU Staaten und der Agentur Frontex ausgetauscht. Der Beitrag beschreibt das Kombinieren und Assoziieren von Daten und Informationen im Europäischen Grenzüberwachungssystem EUROSUR. Die Visualisierung der im EUROSUR ausgetauschten Informationen plausibilisiert die operative wie informationelle Erschließung des Grenzvorbereichs sowie die Idee einer supranationalen EU Außengrenze.

Since December 2013, EU member states and the Frontex Agency share data on the situation along the external borders of the EU with the aim of generating a common European Situational Picture (ESP). The article describes the combining and associating of data and information in the European Border Surveillance System EUROSUR. The visualization of the information enacts the concept of the pre-frontier and thereby expands operational and informational competences. Through these practices, the emerging concept of a supranational EU border becomes plausible.
