Description / Abstract

The expert und the irrational. Ethical considerations to the status of expertise in nursing practice -- In actions and behaviour of Nursing professionals a surplus of unreflected and implicit knowledge is present compared to explicit and applied knowledge from textbooks, guidelines, studies, ethical standards and other outwritten and linguistic phrased rationalities. Thereupon the question raises how to agree to that quasi silent knowledge und how to deal with it without getting into an irrationalism of pure belief exclusive of any evidence. At large we want to advocate the role of an expert with regard to an knowledge and ethical based outlook for actions which appear where technical rationality is not sufficient.
