Beschreibung / Abstract
Referring to the research project "Inclusion as a challenge for integrative day care centres for children", the paper examines the impact of the externally formulated demand for inclusion - or the associated demand for its implementation - on pedagogical practices in integrative day care centres for children. By contrasting different types of materials it becomes obvious that inclusion is a big challenge for everyday practices in integrative day care centres. Yet, some professionals deny this problem categorically. Interview analyses revealed that a more uncritical approach and a certain amount of romanticization predominate the perception of the construction of ‚inclusion´. By contrast, however, many observations indicated that multifaceted practical problems - especially in the (mutual) interaction with children with disabilities and those without impairments - occur.
