In der aktuellen Diskussion um Kritik in der Sozialen Arbeit steht eine grundsätzliche Auslotung des Analysepotentials kritischer Denk- und Handlungsformen im Vordergrund. Weniger im Zentrum stehen Auseinandersetzungen um ein kritisches Verständnis von Bildung als eine mögliche zentrale Säule gegenstandsbezogener Sozialpädagogik. Dieser Artikel plädiert für ein integratives Konzept, Kritik an den Begriff von Bildung rückzukoppeln, um Sozialpädagogik im Horizont des Sozialen zu positionieren. Kritik wird in Bezug auf ein Bildungsverständnis fundiert und anhand von programmatischen Überlegungen verortet. Die programmatische Rationalität besteht in dem Plädoyer für einen Entfaltungs- und Gestaltungsdiskurs, zentriert um die Stärkung eines Bildungsgedankens, der den aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Kritikdiskurs um kontroll-, regierungstechnologischen und machtanalytischen Ansätzen bereichern kann und muss.

To a lesser extent, the dispute centres around a critical understanding of education as a possible essential pillar of object-related social pedagogy. This article advocates for an integrative concept that feeds back critique to the notion of education, to position social pedagogy in the horizon of the social. Critique is consolidated regarding an understanding of education and is positioned on the basis of programmatic considerations. The programmatic rationality consists in the plea for a discourse of development and forming, centred around the strengthening of the educational idea, that can and should add to the actual scientific discourse of critique about control-, governmentality - and power-analytical -approaches.
