Beschreibung / Abstract
Abstract:This article deals with the question of how inclusive learning and teaching about the NS-era
in schools and universities can be implemented. It supports the view that this should be centered around topics that make it possible for all learners to contribute. This is illustrated with an inclusive university course on «the treatment of disabled people during the NS-era» (course title). It is based on Klafki’s theory of education and Pandel’s concept of historical awareness. Furthermore, the article discusses the cultural participation of adults with learning difficulties/disabilities, and the meaning of a narrative access via the reconstruction of one’s own as well as others’ biographies, especially victim’s biographies.
Keywords: Inclusive historical education, NS-crimes against disabled people, Hadamar memorial, Teacher education for inclusion
