Beschreibung / Abstract
Purpose: Care and health facilities are forced to provide efficient as well as high quality care, while they are exposed to heterogenous, often contradicting demands. Necessary innovative processes have to consider various influence levels.
Target: In what way do executives of varying nursing sectors incorporate multiple adjustment levels in the innovation process under special consideration of the matching as well as redefining/restructuring?
Method: Using the innovation process described by Rogers, 20 guideline-lead interviews were conducted with each senior management in order to compare their innovation experience.
Results: A distinct orientation on previous experiences and a focus on the orientation of activity in the form of routines, crystallized as central during the course of the process. Undertake matching processes showed great variations in width and depth between the interviewed participants, as well as within the stages of the processes. It is illustrated that differentiated matching processes are valuable in the active development of innovation processes, as well as for enabling freedom of design.
Conclusion: As a rule, comparisons should be conducted in a conscious and goal-oriented manner, in order to adapt the innovation to the demands of the facilities in the best possible way to the demands of the facilities. Backpedaling of the dynamic, at times chaotic procedure is deemed as essential.
