Beschreibung / Abstract
This paper addresses issues that arise from the widespread use of digital technologies in the social work. Changes, opportunities and risks related to use of digital technologies are presented. Some conceivable future scenarios where integration of technology is feasible are sketched in order to encourage new ways of carrying out the tasks and goals of social work, and to comprehensively reflect on the implications of technological developments. The paper advocates new usage scenarios to avoid stretto on instrumentally driven technologydevelopment and instead suggests the innovative, reasoned and informed use of technology as an active element within complex socio-technical systems.
